Upcycled Discarded Baby Dolls

My father brought my daughter a bag of old dolls that he found abandoned in an old 1800's house in TN. He thought that she could make something with them or practice sewing by making them doll clothes. Some of them were in pretty rough shape. So, my sister - who was in town visiting me- and I decided that all of us would breath new life into them by painting them and upcycling them. We had quite a lot of fun! My daughter is working on a purple metallic one, I have finished one ( below ) and have one in the works, and my sister has almost two completed.

This "new" dolly has hope and love now!

She was the worst in the group. Now she is very happy and ready for a new home.

So pretty in pink! She is for sale on Etsy at

The Starving Artist Etsy Treasury

My phone really is ringing off the hook, lately. I love all the things that I put in this treasury. The arts are suffering along with everyone else in this recession. Please make a pledge to purchase handmade artisan pieces when you are on the hunt for your next purchase.

Bees Nest Wire Wrapped Earrings

Cute little baby bees are buzzing near their nest. Wire wrapped silver balls of metal with brass bees dangling underneath. Simple but nice.

Special Things made by Special People

I created this treasury from things that I just love on Etsy. I LOVE Happy Betsy's " I Can't Stop Listening to Butt Rock." Very talented. And, Candice from 3penniesfromheaven is very talented with her Peter No Tail.

Where Pink and Gray Meet Etsy Treasury

This treasury was created by Art Bags by Ayala Levinger
on Etsy and is dedicated to her friend, Sandra who is suffering from breast cancer.
She included my "Through my Brokenness I am Healed" necklace. I think that this is a very beautiful treasury and my heart goes out for Sandra.

My Rosie O'Donnell Munny's

The baby is checking out the new kids on the block. Let me first say that I just love Rosie's Etsy Shop! I love the way that she photographs her pieces, the way that her children are involved, and the fact that all profits are donated to Rosie's Broadway Kids. I really love her paintings and postcards because her personal life is integrated into them. Rosie O'Donnell wanted to trade one of her Munny dolls for one of my trinket guys ( as she calls them). So, I sent her two.

The Franco American Trinket Guy & Mama's Little Helper Trinket Guy

She forgot to sign the first one. So, I contacted her and told her how sad I was.

This is a snippet of our convo. Her response was fabulous! I know that she is doing a million things so I said no problem. Soon after the second Munny arrived. Nicely signed. She also sent little gifts and postcards of artworks that she has in galleries. Thanks Rosie~ You are the best

Etsy Art Doll Treasury

This Art Doll Treasury appeared today and two of my art snow globe dolls are on it. "The keeper of the key" & "The Forest Fairy". Rosie O'Donnell is also featured with one of her Munny dolls. Rosie and I traded. I sent her two and she sent me two. I will photograph them and post later. I LOVE Rosie! She is a sweetheart.
